This event is a unique opportunity to connect with companies including BP, IBM, Mars, SSE, Hitachi and many more.

Poster Presentation Opportunity

If you’re interested in presenting an IRP poster, fill in the application form with your project abstract before Friday, 11 July. Only 40 abstracts will be selected, and if you’re selected, you’ll receive a poster template to help you prepare for the event. The poster is expected to summarise what you would include in your IRP viva presentation.

We understand that it may be early for many students to write an abstract since they have not yet obtained results from their projects, and that is completely fine and expected. Simply discuss what you are working on, the problem you are solving, its importance and significance, your methodology, and expected deliverables - you can use the abstract from your project plan as a starting point to prepare the abstract for this event.

Note: Students working on external projects under NDA requirements must obtain supervisor permission before submitting an abstract.

IRP Viva

If you are selected to present a poster, you will have an opportunity to complete your IRP viva on the same day as the event, using your poster as a presentation tool. This would allow you to complete your IRP a week earlier than the official viva deadline. Further details about the viva process will be provided to selected students.
